We at Darrylite, would like to take a moment to extend our sincere sympathy for the loss of your beloved pet… No one knows the devastation of losing a pet unless they have experienced the loss themselves… The people who say, “For heaven sake… It was just an animal”, have NO CLUE to the Oodles and Oodles of unconditional love that we, as pet owners, have been blessed with, for the short time that these little creatures of God have been a part of our families. You almost feel sorry for those who have never experienced this purist form of love that God has given to us… NO Strings Attached… Just a little food & water, a toy or two, a leg to brush up against or a face for a quick lick, an early morning walk and a special treat for good behavior… Makes you want to come back as someone’s PET…
Darrylite Luminescents was created out of the unconditional love for my Darling Grand-Dog, Darryl Hartly Golmont… He carried himself as a proud Dalmatian, who was the family protector; the front door greeter; the chilly night feet warmer; a want-a-be outfielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates; an affectionate sloppy kisser; his wide eyed insistence, that he was a 66 pound lap dog; his belief that the guest bedroom was for him; his daily chore was to keep the floor under the kitchen table spotless; he surrounded himself with pillows from wherever he could find them; his daily jubilation of his vibrating body and wagging tail when you arrived home… he was truly our, Best Buddy for over 13 years.
When Darryl joined his friends on his journey over the Rainbow Bridge, in February of 2003, I searched the internet for something unique to place Darryl’s remains in, but found nothing that would symbolize Darryl’s noble existence here on earth… Disillusioned, I decided to create a special urn as a resting place for Darryl’s ashes. I wanted it to be something functional and not just a box of ashes that would sit on a shelf or mantel collecting dust or stuck in a closet or drawer being forgotten for years…I remembered how Darryl was mesmerized by the light of a flickering candle… Sooooo, I thought I’d create him an urn in the form of a candle holder, that we could light, reminding us of Darryl’s sweet, sweet spirit forever…
When friends, neighbors and family members saw Darryl’s memory candle urn they asked me to make urns for their pet’s ashes that had been tucked away a tin can or cardboard box, for years, not knowing what to do with them…
And, V-O-I-L-A… As fate would have it, Darrylite Luminescents was “resurrected”.
It sets our hearts aglow, each time we light Darryl’s candle urn, reminding us of all the unconditional love he bestowed upon us… if only their masters could embrace life the way these adoring creatures of God do, for the short time that they ingratiate us, here On Earth…
In Loving Memory of Darryl |
